Mohamed Abdel Moneim Al-Fayed
(Arabic: محمد عبد المنعم الفايد‎ born 27 January 1929) is an Egyptian businessman. Amongst Fayed's business interests are ownership of the English Premiership football team Fulham Football Club, Hôtel Ritz Paris and formerly Harrods Department Store, Knightsbridge. Fayed has four siblings: Ali, Salah, Soaad and Safia; and married Finnish socialite and former model Heini Wathén in 1985, with whom he had four children: Jasmine, Karim, Camilla and Omar, and three grandchildren. Fayed's son, Dodi, from his first marriage to Samira Khashoggi, died in a car crash in the Pont de l'Alma tunnel in Paris along with Diana, Princess of Wales and driver Henri Paul on 31 August 1997. Fayed's wealth is estimated at $1.2 billion, making him the 993rd-richest person in the world.
Born in Bakos, Alexandria, Egypt, as the eldest son of an Egyptian primary school teacher, Fayed's first entrepreneurial venture began at school where he sold homemadelemonade. He was married for two years, from 1954 to 1956, to Samira Kashoggi.
Fayed's son, Dodi, was romantically involved with Diana, Princess of Wales. However, on 31 August 1997, Diana and Dodi died in a car crash in the Pont de l'Alma tunnel in Paris. On 2 October 2007, an inquest was opened in London. On 18 February 2008, Fayed accused The Duke of Edinburgh and The Prince of Wales of killing Diana and Dodi because the Prince was furious that Diana was dating Dodi. His testimony was roundly condemned in the press as being farcical. Members of the British Government's Intelligence and Security Committee accused Fayed of turning the inquest into a 'circus' and called for it to be ended maturely. The inquest lasted for six months, and the jury verdict, declared given on 7 April 2008, was that Diana and Dodi had been unlawfully killed through the negligent driving of Henri Paul and those in control of the pursuing vehicles.

STARS ENGLAND MICK JAGGER Portrait Drawing Soccer Football Khaled3Ken Gallery

STARS ENGLAND MICK JAGGER Portrait Drawing Soccer Football Khaled3Ken Gallery
Sir Michael Philip "Mick" Jagger (born 26 July 1943) is an English musician, singer, songwriter and actor, best known as the lead vocalist and a founder member of The Rolling Stones.
Jagger's career has spanned over 50 years. His performance style has been said to have "opened up definitions of gendered masculinity and so laid the foundations for self-invention and sexual plasticity which are now an integral part of contemporary youth culture," and he has been described as "one of the most popular and influential frontmen in the history of rock & roll". His distinctive voice and performance, along with Keith Richards' guitar style, have been the trademark of The Rolling Stones throughout the career of the band. In 1989, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the Rolling Stones.
Jagger gained much press notoriety for admitted drug use and romantic involvements, and was often portrayed as a counterculture figure. In the late 1960s Jagger began acting in films (starting with Performance and Ned Kelly), to mixed reception. In 1985, Jagger released his first solo album, She's the Boss, and was knighted in 2003. In early 2009, he joined the electric supergroup SuperHeavy.
Jagger was born into a middle-class family in Dartford, Kent, England. His father, Basil Fanshawe ("Joe") Jagger (13 April 1913 – 11 November 2006), and his grandfather David Ernest Jagger were both teachers. His mother, Eva Ensley Mary (née Scutts; 6 April 1913 – 18 May 2000), born in New South Wales, Australia, of English descent, was a hairdresser and an active member of the Conservative Party. Jagger is the elder of two sons (his brother Chris Jagger was born on 19 December 1947) and was brought up to follow in his father's career path.
In the book According to the Rolling Stones, Jagger states "I was always a singer. I always sang as a child. I was one of those kids who just liked to sing. Some kids sing in choirs; others like to show off in front of the mirror. I was in the church choir and I also loved listening to singers on the radio – the BBC or Radio Luxembourg – or watching them on TV3 and in the movies."
From September 1950, Keith Richards and Jagger (known as "Mike" to his friends) were classmates at Wentworth Primary School in Dartford, Kent. In 1954, Jagger passed the eleven-plus, and went to Dartford Grammar School, where there is now the Mick Jagger Centre, as part of the school. Having lost contact with each other when they went to different schools, Richards and Jagger resumed their friendship in July 1960 after a chance encounter and discovered that they had both developed a love for rhythm and blues music, which began for Jagger with Little Richard.
Jagger left school in 1961. He obtained seven O-levels and three A-levels. Jagger and Richards moved into a flat in Edith Grove inChelsea with a guitarist they had encountered named Brian Jones. While Richards and Jones were making plans to start their own rhythm and blues group, Jagger continued his business courses at the London School of Economics, and had seriously considered becoming either a journalist or a politician. Jagger had compared the latter to a pop star
Allmusic has described Jagger as "one of the most popular and influential frontmen in the history of rock & roll" In fact, musicians such as David Bowie joined many rock bands with blues, folk and soul orientations in his first attempts as a musician in the mid-1960s, and he was to recall: "I used to dream of being their Mick Jagger". Ever competitive with Jagger, Bowie also would say later: "he is not a sex symbol, but a mother image." Lenny Kravitz, in the Rolling Stone magazine edition for their List of 100 Greatest Singers, in which Jagger was placed in 16?, wrote: "I sometimes talk to people who sing perfectly in a technical sense who don't understand Mick Jagger. His sense of pitch and melody is really sophisticated. His vocals are stunning, flawless in their own kind of perfection."This edition also cites Mick Jagger as a key influence on Jack White, Steven Tyler and Iggy Pop.
More recently, his cultural legacy is also associated with his ageing accompanied by some vitality. Bon Jovi frontman Jon Bon Jovi, also a veteran, has said: "We continue to make Number One records and fill stadiums. But will we still be doing 150 shows per tour? I just can't see it. I don't know how the hell Mick Jagger does it at 67. That would be the first question I'd ask him. He runs around the stage as much as I do yet he's got almost 20 years on me." Since his early career, Jagger embodied what some authors describes as a "Dionysian archetype" of "eternal youth" personified by many rock stars and the rock culture. As wrote biographer Laura Jackson, "It is impossible to imagine current culture without the unique influence of Mick Jagger

STARS ENGLAND MICHAEL OWEN Portrait Drawing Soccer Football Khaled3Ken Gallery
Michael James Owen (born 14 December 1979) is an English footballer who plays for Stoke City.
The son of former footballer Terry Owen, Owen was born in Chester and began his senior career at Liverpool in 1996. He progressed through the Liverpool youth team and scored on his debut in May 1997. In his first full season in the Premier Leaguehe finished as joint top scorer with 18 goals. He repeated this the following year and was Liverpool's top goal scorer from 1997–2004, despite a recurring hamstring injury. In 2001, Liverpool won a cup treble of the UEFA Cup, FA Cup and Football League Cup, and Owen was the recipient of the Ballon d'Or. He went on to score 118 goals in 216 appearances in the Premier League for Liverpool.
Owen moved to Real Madrid for £8 million in mid-2004; he was frequently used as asubstitute. He scored 13 goals in La Liga before returning to England the following season where he joined Newcastle United for £16 million. After a promising start to the 2005–06 season, injuries largely ruled him out over the next 18 months. After his return he became team captain and was the team's top scorer for the 2007–08 season. After the final season of his four-year contract, Newcastle were relegated, and Owen moved to Manchester United as a free agent. He spent three years at Old Trafford before joining Stoke City in September 2012.
Internationally, Owen first played for the senior England team in 1998, becoming England's youngest player and youngest goalscorer at the time. His performance at the 1998 World Cup brought him to national and international prominence and he went on to score in Euro 2000, the 2002 World Cup and Euro 2004. He is the only player to have scored in four major tournaments for England. He played at the 2006 World Cup but suffered an injury which took him a year to recover from. Occasionally playing as captain, he is England's tenth most-capped player and has scored a national record of 26 competitive goals, with 40 in total from 89 appearances, most recently in 2008.
Owen's long injury absence after the 2006 World Cup resulted in a dispute betweenFIFA and The FA and Newcastle United, and eventually resulted in an unprecedented £10m compensation award to Newcastle, and brought changes to the compensation arrangements between club and country regarding injuries sustained by contracted club players while on international duty.

STARS ENGLAND MARTIN PETERS Portrait Drawing Soccer Football Khaled3Ken Gallery
Martin Stanford Peters, MBE (born 8 November 1943) is a former football player and manager and a member of the England team which won the 1966 World Cup as well as playing in the 1970 FIFA World Cup. Born in Plaistow, London) he played club football for West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur, Norwich City and Sheffield United. He briefly managed Sheffield United before retiring from professional football in 1981.
Known as "the complete midfielder" as he could pass the ball well with either foot, was good in the air and difficult to mark because of his movement. A free kick specialist, Peters was described by England manager Sir Alf Ramsey, after a game against Scotland in 1968, as being "ten years ahead of his time". His versatility was such that while he was at West Ham he played in every position in the team, including goalkeeper in his third game, replacing an injured Brian Rhodes. With his transfer from West Ham United to Tottenham Hotspur in 1970, he became Britain's first £200,000 footballer
In 1984 he moved into the insurance business where he stayed until he was made redundant in July 2001.
In 1998 Peters joined the board of directors at Spurs, and, although he since stepped down, he remains one of the match-day welcomers in the hospitality suites at the club's White Hart Lane ground. He has also worked in the hospitality suites at Upton Park for West Ham home matches, often attending with his children and grand children who are all West Ham supporters
In 2006, Peters published his autobiography, The Ghost of 66, to critical acclaim.
Peters was inducted, with former manager Ron Greenwood into the English Football Hall of Fame in 2006 in recognition for his achievements as a player

STARS ENGLAND MARTIN CHIVERS Portrait Drawing Soccer Football Khaled3Ken Gallery

STARS ENGLAND MARTIN CHIVERS Portrait Drawing Soccer Football Khaled3Ken Gallery
Martin Harcourt Chivers (born 27 April 1945 in Southampton, England) is a retired English professional footballer from the 1960s and 1970s.
Chivers attended Taunton's Grammar School, Southampton, and wrote to his local club, Southampton for a trial. He spent a brief period in the club's nursery side, CPC Sports, and signed as a professional footballer in September 1962, making his debut against Charlton Athletic on 8 September 1962 (aged 17).He failed to score on his debut and his first goal came in a 4–1 defeat byNewcastle United on 6 April 1963 (in his third first-team appearance).
In the 1963–64 season, he became a regular starter and was the club's joint leading goalscorer (with Terry Paine) with 21 goals, as Southampton finished a disappointing fifth in Division 2. The following season, he was again a virtual ever-present, making 39 appearances with 17 goals as the Saints improved to fourth place.
In the 1965–66 season, he played an integral role as the club finally gained promotion to the top flight (as runners-up), scoring 30 goals from 39 games, generally from crosses provided by Terry Paine and John Sydenham. All his goals were scored from the first 29 games, and he failed to find the net after the end of February.
Once in the First Division, he played second fiddle to the Welsh striker, Ron Davies, scoring 14 and 13 goals respectively in the next two seasons. He became unsettled at The Dell and was soon being chased by many of the top clubs. Saints' manager Ted Bateswas prepared to allow Chivers to leave, as he had a more than adequate replacement coming up through the ranks in Mick Channon.
In January 1968, Tottenham Hotspur manager Bill Nicholson signed Chivers for a club record fee of £125,000, which also made him the country's most expensive player at that time. The deal involved 24-year-old Frank Saul moving from White Hart Lane to The Dell.
Whilst at Southampton he had won 12 England Under-23 caps. He scored a total of 106 goals in 190 appearances for The Saints. His name is also in the record books as the first substitute to score for The Saints, in a 3–1 defeat by Newcastle United on 29 April 1967
After retiring from professional football, he managed clubs in England and Norway and owned a hotel and restaurant in Hertfordshire. Chivers has commentated for BBC Radio and remains a popular matchday host at White Hart Lane.
In April 2007, he was the most recent inductee to the Tottenham Hotspur Hall of Fame.
Chivers' autobiography, "Big Chiv - My Goals in Life", was released in October 2009.

STARS ENGLAND LEDLEY KING Portrait Drawing Soccer Football Khaled3Ken Gallery
Ledley Brenton King (born 12 October 1980) is an English former footballer who played for Tottenham Hotspur. He retired in July 2012. Highly rated as a central defender, in 2009 he was named by The Times as Tottenham's 25th best player of all time. King made 21 international appearances for England.
In the latter part of his career, King was plagued by chronic knee problems, for which no effective treatment or remedy was found. Instead of training with the rest of the squad King undertook fitness exercises on his own, allowing him to play one first team game per week. His former manager Harry Redknapp called King "an absolute freak" for being able to perform at Premiership level despite not training. Whilst playing, King was cited by opponents and pundits as one of the best defenders in the Premier League.
King announced his retirement from all forms of football on 19 July 2012 as a result of the chronic knee injuries that plagued much of his career. He continues to represent Tottenham Hotspur on an ambassadorial level.
King played in the Euro 2008 qualifier against Estonia on 6 June 2007. King played 90 minutes and England won 3–0. Although he featured in Fabio Capello's first squad, he had to pull out through injury. Due to a chronic knee condition which preventing him holding down a regular place in the club side he was also not selected for England games for the rest of 2007 and during the whole of 2008.
On 22 March 2009, King was given a recall by head coach Fabio Capello to the England team to play Slovakia and Ukraine. However, two days later he was removed from the squad after being assessed by England's medical staff, who thought it was in his best interests to continue his personal training regime at his club, due to the chronic knee condition that he has. Fabio Capello later said, in response to Harry Redknapp's objection to King's call-up, "Without doubt, King is one of the best central defenders in England. If he was fit, Redknapp would not need to make the journey. King could come with us." He later promoted King's cause again, saying that "We hope (he has an international future), because he's a very interesting player – one of the best centre-backs. But I don't know the future."
On 11 May 2010, King was named in the 30-man provisional squad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup alongside fellow Spurs central defender Michael Dawson. He went on to score a headed goal against Mexico in the first preparation friendly on 24 May.
King made it into England's World Cup 2010 squad. On 12 June 2010, King played 45 minutes for England in their opening match against the USA, before picking up a groin injury which kept him out of the rest of the tournament

STARS ENGLAND Jimmy Hill Portrait Drawing Soccer Football Khaled3Ken Gallery

STARS ENGLAND Jimmy Hill Portrait Drawing Soccer Football Khaled3Ken Gallery
James William Thomas "Jimmy" Hill OBE (born 22 July 1928) is an English association football personality. His career has taken in virtually every role in football, including player, union leader, coach, manager, director, chairman, television executive, presenter, analyst and match official.
Hill was born in Balham, London, the son of Alice Beatrice (Wyatt) and William Thomas Hill, a World War I veteran, milkman, and bread delivery worker. He was a pupil at Henry Thornton Grammar School, Clapham (1939–45), and is now President of the Old Boys' Association. He then did national service as a clerk in the Royal Army Service Corps in which he attained the rank of Corporal and was considered a potential candidate for officer training
Hill first came into football as a fan, regularly watching football at local club Crystal Palace, but, despite this, he started playing in 1949 with Brentford, before moving to Fulham in March 1952, for whom he played over 300 games. He scored five goals for Fulham in an away match against Doncaster Rovers and was part of the team that gained promotion to the First Division.
In 1957, he became chairman of the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) and campaigned to have the Football League's £20 maximum wage scrapped, which he achieved in January 1961, when Fulham teammate Johnny Haynes became the first £100 player.
Jimmy Hill has become a cult figure, with many British comedy shows parodying his personality and prominent chin. He was a regular character called 'Knobchops' in the comedy series Stella Street (impersonated by Phil Cornwell). Hill is routinely drawn into panels of various Viz comic strips, typically in locales which the real Hill is unlikely to frequent.
He was also spoofed in The Goodies episode "2001 & A Bit", and parodied himself with appearances in both Monty Python's Flying Circus (dressed as Queen Victoria) and Harry Enfield and Chums.
Hill's large chin was referenced by popular British schoolboy slang in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, with the phrases "Jimmy Hill!", "Itch my chin!" and "Chinny reckon!", accompanied by the exaggerated stroking of an imaginary lengthened chin, being used to convey the expression of mocking disbelief.
Jimmy Hill has been immortalised in the Scottish football chant "We hate Jimmy Hill, he's a poof, he's a poof", to the tune of the British Airways "Fly the Flag" ad campaign. He had become unpopular with Scotland fans, better known as the Tartan Army, for describingDavid Narey's goal against Brazil in the 1982 World Cup as "a toe-poke" during the BBC's live coverage. He did apologise for this on BBC Scotland TV coverage of the World Cup in France 1998.
One of Hill's more light-hearted football moments took place in 1972. Arsenal were hosting Liverpool at Highbury on 16 September, when linesman Dennis Drewitt pulled a muscle and was unable to continue. FA rules state that the match could not be completed without a referee and two linesmen, so the game was in danger of being abandoned. The matchday announcer put a message over the loudspeaker asking if anyone was a qualified referee and would volunteer to run the line. Hill was a qualified referee and had been at Highbury that day as a spectator. He quickly donned a tracksuit before stepping in for the injured Drewitt
Hill is also well known for his ability to make ‘Colemanballs’ statements such as:
“I would undoubtedly pick him in the next England squad if I was the England manager and he wasn't actually Bermudan.”
“We're not used to weather in June in this country.”
“They're still in the game, and they're trying to get back into it.”
"That's a wise substitution by Terry Venables: three fresh men, three fresh legs."
"If England are going to win this match, they're going to have to score a goal."

Joseph Kevin Keegan, OBE (born 14 February 1951) is an English formerfootballer who played for several clubs including Liverpool where he won three Football League Division One titles, two UEFA Cups, an FA Cup and a European Cup. He went on to become a club manager, winning promotion as champions in his first full season at all three clubs he managed. He also managed the England national football team.
As a player in the 1970s and 1980s, he has been described as "arguably the first superstar English player to attract the modern media spotlight" He began his playing career at Scunthorpe United in 1968, before moving to Liverpool of Division One in 1971. At Liverpool, Keegan won three First Division titles, two UEFA Cups, one FA Cup and the European Cup. He also gained his first England cap in 1972, and moved to German top-flight club Hamburger SV in the summer of 1977. At Hamburg he was crowned European Footballer of the Year in both 1978 and 1979, won the Bundesliga title in 1978–79, and reached the European Cup final the following year. Keegan moved to Southampton that summer, and spent two seasons at the club before a transfer to second-tier Newcastle United in 1982. He helped Newcastle to promotion in his second season, and retired from football in 1984, having been capped 63 times for England, scoring 21 goals.
He moved into management at Newcastle in 1992, again returning the club to the top flight, as First Division champions. After promotion, Keegan's Newcastle finished second in the Premier League in 1995–96, after leading the table most of the season. After a spell at Fulham, he took charge of the England team in 1999 but resigned in the autumn of 2000, following a loss against Germany in World Cup qualification (this was also the last game at the old Wembley Stadium). He then became manager ofManchester City in 2001 and spent four years at the club before resigning in 2005. He had been out of football for almost three years when he returned to Newcastle United for a second spell as manager in January 2008. This spell lasted only eight months, however, as Keegan resigned on 4 September 2008 following days of speculation regarding a dispute with the club directors

Over the summer of 2012 this developed into his celebrating current sporting achievements such as 2012 Olympics medal wins by Team GB.

James Peter "Jimmy" Greaves (born 20 February 1940 in Manor Park, East Ham, England) is an English former football player, and more recently a television pundit - famous for his trademark catchphrase it's a funny old game. Greaves was England's third highest international goalscorer, the highest goalscorer in the history of Tottenham Hotspur football club and the highest goalscorer in the history of English top flight football
Signed as a junior in 1956 he scored a record 114 goals the following season inChelsea's youth team. Aged 17, Greaves scored on his debut on 24 August 1957 for Chelsea against Tottenham Hotspur in a 1–1 draw. He finished as top League goalscorer twice whilst at Chelsea, in 1959 and 1961, and his 41 league goals in the 1960-61 season remains a club record. He scored thirteen hat-tricks, five goals and four goals on three occasions for Chelsea. His hat-trick against Manchester City in November 1960 was scored when he was 20 years and 290 days old and marked his 100th league goal making him the youngest player to pass the 100 goal mark, a record he still holds. Chelsea did not win any major trophies while Greaves was playing for them and in 1961, against Greaves' wishes, they decided to sell him.His last game was the final game of the 1960–61 season on 29 April 1961. Greaves was made captain for the day and scored all four goals in a 4–3 win againstNottingham Forest
In the mid-1970s Greaves battled a well-documented alcohol problem, finally quitting drinking in February 1978. He became a popular television presenter and football pundit, striking up a partnership with Ian St. John. Together they hosted a popular Saturday lunchtime football show called Saint and Greavsie from 1985 until the programme was axed in 1992.
Greaves also worked frequently for TV-am as a TV critic and was a resident team captain on ITV sports quiz Sporting Triangles as well as co-hosting the Saturday morning children's television show, The Saturday Show. He briefly had his own talk show and has been a columnist for The Sun newspaper for many years. He also answered readers letters in Shoot magazine in the 1980s and 1990s. In 2002 Greaves was made an Inaugural Inductee to the English Football Hall of Fame. He released his autobiography, Greavsie, in 2003 and works as an after-dinner speaker. Greaves has written 18 books in partnership with his lifelong friend, the journalist and author Norman Giller.
Married to Irene since March 1958, when he had just turned 18, he has 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Jimmy and Irene have four children, Lynn, Mitzi, Danny (who was a professional footballer with Southend United), and Andrew.
Greaves said, with regards to the 2010 general election: "I'll vote Conservative, as I always have, but with no great enthusiasm as I'm not convinced by David Cameron. The country really needs another Margaret Thatcher to sort out a huge financial mess and growing trade union power. I'm certain, though, that Britain is sick and tired of Labour."
In April 2005, 44 years after his brief spell at AC Milan, he called for their Milan rivals Inter to be banned from European competitions for three years due to rioting by their fans during the European Cup quarter-final between AC Milan and Inter at the San Siro. However, Inter ultimately avoided exclusion from European competitions by UEFA

James Lee Duncan Carragher (born 28 January 1978) is an English footballer who plays as a central defender for Premier League side Liverpool. A one-club man, he has been Liverpool's vice-captain since 2003, and is one of the club's longest-serving players. He made his 700th appearance for Liverpool in all competitions on 2 August 2012, placing him second behind Ian Callaghan on the club's all-time appearance list. Carragher also holds the record for the most appearances in European competition for Liverpool.
Carragher started his footballing career at the Liverpool Academy, making his professional debut in the 1996–97 season and becoming a first team regular the following season. Having initially played as a full back, the arrival of manager Rafael Ben?tez in 2004 saw Carragher move to become a centre back, where he has remained since. His honours with Liverpool include two FA Cups, three League Cups, two Community Shields, one Champions League, one UEFA Cup and two Super Cups.
Internationally, Carragher held the national record for most caps at under-21 level and earned his senior debut in 1999. He represented England at the 2004 European Championship and the 2006 World Cup, before announcing his retirement from international football in 2007. He did, however, temporarily come out of retirement in order to represent England at the 2010 World Cup, before retiring again with 38 senior England caps. His autobiography, Carra, was released in 2008.
However in a February 2011 Sky Sports interview with Graeme Souness, it was revealed that Carragher had not made these comments. Carragher through Souness' fellow Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp, issued an apology to Souness saying he never said what was claimed in the media.
Carragher's relationship with Rafael Ben?tez was said to have suffered a breakdown in Ben?tez's later days at the club, with Carragher concerned about Ben?tez's conduct with other managers. "We had situations like Martin O’Neill and Steve Bruce criticising Liverpool and they were right. We shouldn’t be getting involved with stuff like that", was said in reference to Ben?tez's often rocky relationships with other managers.
Carragher gave his fervent support to Ben?tez's replacement in Roy Hodgson. "The manager is the boss and we should be trying to impress him, not the other way around." This was stated by Carragher in response to the negative reporting on Hodgson's early tenure at Anfield.
On 6 March 2011, Carragher committed a foul on Manchester United player Nani and the foul resulted in an injury on Nani's shin. Carragher tried to enter the Manchester United dressing room after the game to apologise but was denied by Manchester United staff.

STARS ENGLAND HERBERT CHAPMAN Portrait Drawing Soccer Football Khaled3Ken Gallery

STARS ENGLAND HERBERT CHAPMAN Portrait Drawing Soccer Football Khaled3Ken Gallery
Herbert Chapman (19 January 1878 – 6 January 1934) was an Englishassociation football player and manager. Though he had an undistinguished playing career, he went on to become one of the most successful and influential managers in early 20th century English football, before his sudden death in 1934.
As a player, Chapman played for a variety of clubs, at League and non-League levels. His record was generally unremarkable as a player; he made fewer than 40 League appearances over the course of a decade and did not win any major honours. Instead, he found success as a manager, first atNorthampton Town between 1908 and 1912, whom he led to a Southern League title.
This attracted the attention of larger clubs and he moved to Leeds City, where he started to improve the team's fortunes before the First World Warintervened. After the war ended, City were implicated in an illegal payments scandal and were eventually disbanded. Chapman was initially banned from football but successfully appealed, and then took over at Huddersfield Town, winning an FA Cup and two First Division titles in the space of four years.
In 1925, Arsenal successfully tempted Chapman to join them, and he brought the previously trophyless club an FA Cup and two First Division titles. He set them up to be the dominant team of the 1930s – they would eventually win five League titles that decade – but he did not live to see them do so, dying suddenly from pneumonia in 1934, at the age of 55.
Not only credited with turning round the fortunes of both Huddersfield Town and Arsenal, he is also regarded as one of the game's first modernisers. He introduced new tactics and training techniques into the English game, as well as championing innovations such as floodlighting, European club competitions and numbered shirts, and has received many posthumous honours in recognition.

STARS ENGLAND GORDON BANKS Portrait Drawing Soccer Football Khaled3Ken Gallery

STARS ENGLAND GORDON BANKS Portrait Drawing Soccer Football Khaled3Ken Gallery
Gordon Banks, OBE (born 30 December 1937) is a retired English footballgoalkeeper. The IFFHS named Banks the second best goalkeeper of the 20th century – after Lev Yashin (1st) and ahead of Dino Zoff (3rd).
Banks was a member of the England national team that won the 1966 World Cup. In March 2004 Pelé listed Banks as one of the 125 greatest living footballers. His most famous moment occurred in the 1970 World Cupagainst Brazil, where he pulled off a stunning save from a goalbound header from Pelé, which is often regarded as arguably the greatest save ever.Banks' consistent performances in goal led to the re-wording of a common English idiom to "Safe as the Banks of England"
Best-selling Irish investigative author, Don Mullan, published a boyhood memoir in 2006 called GORDON BANKS: A Hero Who Could Fly in which he wrote about the influence of the England goalkeeper on his life. Mullan discovered at the age of 8 that he was dyslexic, but he had learned to read and write through a giant 500-page scrapbook which he began compiling shortly after seeing Banks play in the 1966 World Cup Final. The Irish author grew up in the famous Republican stronghold of the Creggan Estate, Derry, Northern Ireland, at the height of the troubles and was a schoolboy witness to the tragic events of Bloody Sunday, 30 January 1972. In his moving tribute to Banks he claims that his English hero was one of the reasons why he never choose the path of violence. Banks launched Mullan's book in Dublin, Derry and at the Britannia Stadium in Stoke in the Summer of 2006 and has described Mullan as 'my greatest fan'. GORDON BANKS: A Hero Who Could Fly was optioned by BBC Drama.
Mullan was actively involved in the scheme to create the first monument to a goalkeeper in the Western World with the assistance of Banks' legendary teammate Terry Conroy and emerging local sculptor Andrew Edwards. Inspired by Mullan's book, Edwards named the monument A Hero Who Could Fly and used the following quote from the Irish author on the monument:
... we lived in an era when sporting heroes were ordinary and unassuming men whose very modesty was the oxygen of dreams. And across the water, on a neighbouring island with whom we Irish had been at war for centuries I had a hero who could fly. His name is GORDON BANKS. From being a timid, fearful young boy he taught me that impossible doesn't exist. Unknown to him he helped save a young fan from making choices that had brought too much sorrow and sadness to Irish and British alike. Who knows? Perhaps it was his best save ever.
The 1st phase of the monument was unveiled by Pelé and Archbishop Desmond Tutu on 12 July 2008. Since then Mullan and Edwards have travelled to Flanders and the site of the World War One Christmas Truce and the legendary football game between British and German soldiers. The visit inspired Edwards, with Mullan's support, to modify his original design. Originally the second phase was to feature two diving figures of Banks. Now, however, it will feature both Banks and the great German goalkeeper, Bert Trautmann (Manchester City), who was Banks' boyhood hero. The monument will also feature a young boy holding a scrapbook as he looks at the two giant figures. At once it is an Irish boy and his English hero, and an English boy and his German hero. It is Edwards' and Mullan's hope that the monument will be a demonstration of how sport can reach across great political chasms and help heal the hurts of history. The 2nd Phase of the monument project will be completed at Madeley High School, Staffordshire, in the community where Banks now resides.
