Franck Alain James Leboeuf or Lebœuf (born on 22 January 1968) is a formerFrench international footballer who played as a defender. With the French national team, Leboeuf won the 1998 FIFA World Cup
After starting his career in 1986 in the lower divisions of the French leagues, Leboeuf moved to Laval in 1988. In 1991, he moved to Strasbourg and played there until 1996, when he made a switch to English club Chelsea for £2.5m.
He played over 200 games for the club and scored 24 goals, mainly from penalties and set pieces. With Chelsea, he won two FA Cups, one League Cup and one Cup Winners' Cup. He left in 2001 for club Olympique Marseille, before finishing out his career in Qatar.
For France, Leboeuf was capped 50 times, scoring four goals. Although he was mainly a substitiute in the 1998 World Cup, he stepped in for red carded Laurent Blanc to play in the final, a 3–0 win against Brazil, a match in which he famously man-marked Ronaldo. In the final Ronaldo only was able to do a couple of his trademark runs thanks to an almost flawless defensive performance by Leboeuf.
Leboeuf received a winner's medal at Euro 2000. He then played at the 2002 World Cup.
A highly cultured centre back Leboeuf was noted for his long range passing ability and also for his consistent penalty-taking throughout his career. He took more than 20 penalties for Chelsea, missing just 3 times: against Leicester, Feyenoord and Blackburn.
Leboeuf spent some time in Los Angeles, USA playing for celebrity team Hollywood United as a midfielder.
He also appeared in the 2001 film, Taking Sides. He also starred along with French actor Jean-Francois Garreaud in "L'intrus", a theater play touring in France from January to June 2010.He was contestant in the Koh Lanta reality TV show in 2010 (French version of Survivor)

DRAWING PORTRAIT FOOTBALL STARS FRANCE KHALED3KEN FABIAN BARTEZ

DRAWING PORTRAIT FOOTBALL STARS FRANCE KHALED3KEN FABIAN BARTEZ
Fabien Alain Barthez (French pronunciation: born 28 June 1971 inLavelanet) is a former French footballer goalkeeper who won honours withManchester United and the French national team, with whom he won the 1998 FIFA World Cup and Euro 2000 and reached the final of the 2006 World Cup. He shares the record for the most World Cup finals clean sheets with Peter Shilton, with 10. In club football he won the Champions League as well as several Ligue 1 and Premier League titles.
Born in Lavelanet, France, Barthez made his first division debut for Toulouse on 21 September 1991, against Nancy. He joined Marseille in 1992, and won both the French championship and the Champions League at the end of his first season in Marseille. The 1993 victory made him the youngest goalkeeper to win a Champions League title until Iker Casillas did so in 2000. However, Marseille would be stripped of their domestic title, though not of the Champions League crown, due to their involvement in a domestic match fixing scandal, and a year later (1994) would suffer a forced relegation to the second division due to a related financial bankruptcy. He stayed with the club in Division 2 for the 1994–95 season despite many offers from elite French clubs
His place as starting goalkeeper in France's 2006 FIFA World Cup Campaign, in the face of a substantial public campaign in support ofGrégory Coupet, was surprising to many, even more so given Coupet's flawless performance in the remainder of the World Cup qualifying campaign after Barthez's suspension. The decision was met with derision in the French press and also led to Coupet's walking out of the national squad before the tournament, though he was to return one day later. The move was viewed by some as a desire to keep the veterans of France's 1998 World Cup victory on the team. L'Equipe reported after the World Cup that Barthez would have walked out of the squad had he not been named the starter.
France had a slow start in the group stage, drawing their first two games and putting their playoff chances at risk. Fortunately, Barthez's team found their form and won their final round robin match 2–0 to advance to the next stage, where they upset heavily favoured Spain3–1 in the round of 16.
In defeating Brazil, 1–0 on 1 July 2006, Barthez, having made only one save in the game, became the first keeper to blank the Brazilian team in consecutive World Cup finals matches, the first being the 1998 final (3–0). France is now one of only four nations (along with Italy, Argentina and the Netherlands) to have shut Brazil out twice in the World Cup finals, and the first to have done it in consecutive matches, both times with Barthez in goal.
Barthez again kept a clean sheet in the semi-final against Portugal (with Zinédine Zidane's penalty shot the winning goal), though he appeared in questionable form. A few minutes from time, he spectacularly spilled a free-kick which Lu?s Figo recovered, heading over the bar although unchallenged. He did, however, redeem himself in injury time when a French defender fumbled the ball, enabling aPortuguese player to mount a last-moment attack. Barthez scrambled out of the net and blocked the first shot.
During the final against Italy he briefly captained his team for the remainder of the second period of extra time after Zidane was sent off. During the penalty shootout, neither he nor his Italian counterpart Gianluigi Buffon made a save, and France striker David Trezeguet's missed shot ultimately proved decisive.

DRAWING PORTRAIT FOOTBALL STARS FRANCE KHALED3KEN EMANUEL PETIT

DRAWING PORTRAIT FOOTBALL STARS FRANCE KHALED3KEN EMANUEL PETIT
Emmanuel Laurent "Manu" Petit (French pronunciation: born 22 September 1970) is a French retired footballer, who played club football forMonaco, Arsenal, Barcelona, and Chelsea. He represented France at international level, and scored the third goal in France's 3–0 victory in the 1998 FIFA World Cup Final.
Petit was born in Dieppe, Seine-Maritime. He began his career at minor club ES Arques-la-Bataille, before being signed by Arsène Wenger's AS Monaco at the age of 18. He made his debut soon after and played in the 1989 French Cup final. Petit became a regular at Monaco, at left midfielder or centre midfielder; in 1991 he won the Cup with Monaco, and also played in the 1992 European Cup Winners' Cup final (which Monaco lost to Werder Bremen). In 1996–97, his final season at Monaco he captained his side to the Ligue 1 title.
Despite interest from Rangers[citation needed], Petit joined Arsenal in June 1997 £2.5m, where he was reunited with his former Monaco manager, Arsène Wenger. Wenger switched Petit from central midfielder to defensive midfielder, and partnered him with fellow Frenchman Patrick Vieira. The French duo formed a midfield partnership which brought instant success, as Petit won the Double with Arsenal in his very first season, clinching both the Premier League title and theFA Cup. Altogether, in the three seasons in his Arsenal career, Petit made 118 appearances and scored 11 goals, including a stunning drive from outside the area against Derby County (which was also the winning goal), during the 1997–98 season.
Petit moved to FC Barcelona (together with Arsenal team-mate Marc Overmars) in the summer of 2000 for £7m (€14m). At Barcelona he was moved back into defence, and suffered a rash of niggling injuries; as a result, he failed to settle and could not hold down a regular place. In his biography published in 2008, the midfielder gave his time at Barcelona a special chapter, in which he exposed that coach Llorenç Serra Ferrer didn't even know what position he played when he joined the team.
After his 1st season in Camp Nou, he was linked with moves back to England with Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur andChelsea. He moved back to England to sign for Chelsea in 2001 for £7,500,000. He initially was a first-team regular for the Blues in a largely disappointing debut season and played in the 2002 FA Cup Final which Chelsea lost to his old club, Arsenal. He scored his first goal for Chelsea in a 2–1 win over Derby County on 30 March 2002. His second season saw a significant improvement, as he formed an impressive midfield partnership with Frank Lampard as Chelsea impressed in the winner-takes-all final game of the season againstLiverpool as Chelsea secured the 4th UEFA Champions League berth. He also scored twice throughout the season: against Everton in the League Cup and former club Arsenal in the league. However, after a series of knee injuries, he spent much of his final season of his career on the sidelines, and he was released on a free transfer in the summer of 2004, his final appearance for the club coming against Blackburn Rovers on 1 February 2004. When Chelsea released him Arsenal were going to resign him but they decided not to after having a closer look at his fitness. After spending six months looking for a new club, including a training stint with Bolton Wanderers, Petit announced his retirement on 20 January 2005, when he found out he required a knee operation and would probably never regain full fitness.

Djibril Cissé (French pronunciation: born 12 August 1981) is a French footballer who plays for Queens Park Rangers as a striker. He is well known for his speed and acceleration. Since 2005, he has held the title of Lord of the Manor of Frodsham.[3] Cissé started his career at AC Arles in 1989 at the age of eight. After seven years at the club, he had a six-month spell at Nîmes Olympiquebefore moving to Auxerre joining the club's youth system. Cissé spent two years in the system before graduating to the first team in 1998. Having had a move toLiverpool delayed once, he moved to the Merseyside-based club in 2004, after playing for Auxerre for six seasons, scoring 90 goals in 166 appearances.
During his time at Anfield, he played 79 games, scoring 24 times. He had a loan spell to Marseille, scoring 15 goals in 25 appearances before the deal was made permanent. Cissé returned to the Premier League in 2008 with a loan spell atSunderland, scoring 11 goals in 39 appearances. On 25 June 2009, he signed a four-year contract with Greek side Panathinaikos. In the summer of 2011 he secured a move to Serie A side Lazio. On 31 January 2012, Cissé signed forQueens Park Rangers for a reported £4 million, scoring in his debut in a 2–2 draw with Aston Villa
Cissé made his international debut, aged 21, against Belgium coming on as a 48th minute substitute for David Trezeguet on 18 May 2002. French manager Roger Lemerre included Cissé in his 23-man squad for the 2002 FIFA World Cup. In the tournament he played in all of the group matches against Senegal, Uruguay, and Denmark, coming on as a substitute in all three games but France were knocked out of the World Cup in the group stages. His first goal for the senior side came on 7 September 2002 againstCyprus in qualifying for Euro 2004. Cissé was included as part of the 2003 FIFA Confederations Cup winning French team. He scored his only goal of the tournament from the penalty spot in France's 1–0 win against Colombia on 18 June 2003.
After being banned from UEFA Euro 2004, the next tournament for Cissé was the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany. However, in France's final warm-up match against China on 7 June 2006, he suffered another broken leg when ten minutes into the game he was knocked off balance by the China captain Zheng Zhi and fell with his leg twisting under him. "It's so tough to hear Djibril scream like that," said fellow French striker Thierry Henry. "You lose a teammate and also a friend. But he is tough; he will come back." Immediate surgery to repair his open fractured tibia followed the accident, ruling him out of the tournament. During the UEFA Euro 2008 qualifying campaign, Cissé played three games, but could not win a place in the France squad for the finals.
After demonstrating his goal-scoring form for Panathinaikos, in March 2010, Cissé was recalled to the French squad for a friendly match against Spain in Paris. When introduced into the match as a substitute, he had a considerable impact, heading on a Florent Maloudacross only for Iker Casillas to push it onto the post. On 11 May 2010, he was included by manager Raymond Domenech in France's final 23-man squad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. On 22 June he was in France's starting eleven for the team's final game of the group stage versus South Africa

DRAWING PORTRAIT FOOTBALL STARS FRANCE KHALED3KEN DIDIER DESCHAMPS

DRAWING PORTRAIT FOOTBALL STARS FRANCE KHALED3KEN DIDIER DESCHAMPS
Didier Claude Deschamps (French pronunciation: born 15 October 1968 in Bayonne) is a retired French footballer and current manager of France . He played as a defensive midfielder for such clubs as Chelsea, Juventus and Marseille. As an international, he captained France to victories in the 1998 World Cup andEuro 2000.
As well as winning two French league titles in 1991 and 1992, Deschamps was part of the Marseille team which became the first; and so far only French winners of theChampions League in 1993. Also he was the youngest captain ever to lead his team to the Champions League title when they won. On 8 July 2012, Deschamps was named the manager of the French national team
After a short passage at rugby in the Biarritz Olympique, Deschamps started his football career at an amateur club, Aviron Bayonnais whilst still at school. His potential was spotted by scouts from Nantes, for whom he signed in April 1983. Deschamps made his league debut on 27 September 1985. He transferred toMarseille in 1989. Deschamps then spent a season on loan with Bordeaux in 1990, before returning to Marseille. In this second spell with Marseille, Deschamps gained his first honours as a professional player. In 1994, Deschamps joined Juventus, with whom he won three Serie A titles, one Italian Cup, two Italian Supercups, his secondChampions League title, and an Intercontinental Cup. After Juventus, Deschamps spent a season in England with Chelsea, winning the FA Cup, and scoring once against Hertha Berlin in the Champions League. He finished his playing career inSpain, spending a season with Valencia, helping them to the 2001 UEFA Champions League Final, but he remained on the bench as they lost to Bayern Munich. He then retired in the summer of 2001, only 32 years old.
On 5 May 2009, it was announced that Deschamps would be named manager of Marseille to the upcoming season which began on 1 July 2009. In his first season, he managed them to their first Ligue 1 title in 18 years. His success had seen the Marseille manager linked to a return to Juventus where former president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli urged the club to bring back Deschamps to replace Ciro Ferrara. Ferrara was eventually replaced by Alberto Zaccheroni. On 29 June 2010, Deschamps signed a contract extension that will keep him at Marseille until June 2012. On 6 June 2011, he extended his contract again, this time until June 2014. On 13 March 2012, his Marseille side progressed to the Champions League quarter-finals for the first time since 1993 by beating Inter Milan. On 14 April 2012, Olympique de Marseille won the Coupe de la Ligue for third time in a row after they beat Lyon 1–0 with Brand?o scoring in extra-time. The victory also ended a winless run of 12 matches in all competitions. Deschamps was delighted withMarseille's Coupe de la Ligue triumph and added: "All title wins are beautiful, as they are difficult to achieve. This is the sixth in three years. For a club that had not won anything for 17 years, it is something to be proud of. The credit goes mostly to the players, but I also want to associate my staff with the victory. This is a great source of pride for me, even if it does not change the fact it has been a difficult season in Ligue 1." On 2 July 2012, Deschamps left the club by mutual agreement, citing their poor finsh of 10th place in 2011
Deschamps was appointed as head coach of the France national football team on 8 July 2012, following in the footsteps of Laurent Blanc, who resigned after the UEFA Euro 2012 tournament

Claude Makélelé Sinda (French pronunciation:
born 18 February 1973) is a retired football player and coach who is currently assistant coach of Carlo Ancelotti in Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1. Prior to joining Paris Saint-Germain, Makélélé played for Nantes, Olympique de Marseille, Celta Vigo, Real Madrid ,Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain. In homage to Makélélé, many fans and pundits alike have dubbed the defensive midfield position as the "Makélélé Role
Makélelé was born in Kinshasa, Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of the Congo). "Makelele" means "noises" in Lingala, one of the languages spoken in Congo DR.
He moved to Savigny-le-Temple, a suburb of Paris in Seine-et-Marne, in 1977, when he was four years old. His father, André-Joseph Makélelé, was also a football player. He represented the Congo DR, and ended his career in the Belgian First Division.
At just fifteen Makélélé signed for U.S. Melun which is a club in Melun, a city nearSavigny-le-Temple. He played with Lillian Thuram there.
Makélélé had never left Savigny-le-Temple until the age of 16, when he joined the training centre of Brest-Armorique in Brittany. According to him, it wasn't easy to adapt to the new life in Brest. The training academy life was tough, especially as it was the first time he was far from his family.
He worked very hard in Brest, but it was in Nantes where he discovered the real pleasure of playing. Makélelé was recruited by FC Nantes Atlantique in December 1991, when he was still 18 years old. Robert Budzinski, the Sport director from Nantes confessed that once he had discovered Makélélé in Brest, he was sure he would become the new Emmanuel Petit.
At the beginning of the 1992–93 season, Makélelé was already in the Nantes A-team, in the French first division. He played at Nantes for five seasons, winning the French Championship in 1995 and helped the club to the semi-final of the Champions League the following season. This earned him a move to Olympique de Marseille for whom he played for one season.
In the spring of 2004, he began dating French model Noémie Lenoir. Lenoir gave birth to a boy, Kelyan (born 24 January 2005). The couple split in early 2009. Despite widespread reports that Lenoir was married to Makélélé, she wrote a blog in 2009 clarifying their former relationship, saying: 'I’m not and have never been married. I do have a son. I have a wonderful baby’s father and have a great relationship with him, however I’ve been single for some time now.' In May 2010, Lenoir attempted to commit suicide at Makélélé's Paris home by ingesting a lethal amount of drugs and alcohol. Reports after the suicide attempt implied that it was related to Makélélé finally calling it quits with Lenoir, which he vehemently denies. Lenoir has had a long battle with substance abuse and later checked into rehab. Claude Makélélé has a daughter, Shana (born 10 December 2002), from a previous relationship and a newborn son (born 31 December 2010) with his fiancée.

He wasMinistre de la Ville (Minister of City Affairs) in the government of Pierre Bérégovoy, a businessman specializing in recovery for bankrupted companies, among which Adidas is the most famous (he owned Adidas from 1990 to 1993); and owner of sports teams (his cycling team won the Tour de France twice and his football club the French championship 5 times in a row, and the Champions League in 1993).
On 30 September 2011 it was disclosed Tapie had agreed to buy Full Tilt Poker and its assets despite its legal troubles in the United States and the revocation of its gambling license. That deal fell through in April 2012.
La Vie Claire, one of Tapie's former businesses, is a chain of health product stores. It sponsored one of the strongest cycling teams of all time called La Vie Claire. It was founded after the 1983 season when multiple Tour de France winner Bernard Hinault broke from the Renault-Elf team that featured another Tour winner in Laurent Fignon after a falling-out with team manager, Cyrille Guimard. Following Hinault to the new team was Greg LeMond, who would go on to win three Tours himself. Both Hinault and LeMond would win Tours with the La Vie Claire team.
From 1986 to 1994, he was president of the Olympique de Marseille football club, which became Champion of France and won theChampions League. In May 1992, he was forced to resign of his function as Minister of City, by the Prime minister Pierre Bérégovoy, who thus established the misnamed "Balladur jurisprudence," according to which an indicted member of the government should resign
In 1995, Tapie turned to artistic endeavors because he was unable to pursue his previous interests: he was personally bankrupt and therefore unable to pursue business ventures, he was declared ineligible to run for political office, and he was banned from football. The first thing he turned to was film. He starred, together with Fabrice Luchini, in Claude Lelouch's 1996 movie Hommes, femmes, mode d'emploi (Men, Women: A User's Manual).
In 1998, he collaborated in a song by French artist Doc Gynéco, "C'est beau la vie."
In 2001, a documentary film was made titled Who is Bernard Tapie? by American filmmaker Marina Zenovich

DRAWING PORTRAIT FOOTBALL STARS FRANCE KHALED3KEN ARSENE WENGER
Arsène Wenger, OBE, (French pronunciation: born 22 October 1949)
is the manager of English Premier League side Arsenal. He is the club's longest-serving manager and most successful, having led Arsenal to 11 trophies since 1996. Football pundits give Wenger credit for his contribution to the revolutionising of football in England in the late 1990s, through the introduction of changes in the training and diet of players.
Wenger was born in Strasbourg, France and raised in Duttlenheim. He was introduced to football by his father, the manager of the local village team. After a modest playing career, in which he made appearances for several amateur clubs, Wenger obtained a manager's diploma in 1981. Following an unsuccessful period atNancy which culminated in his dismissal in 1987, Wenger joined AS Monaco; the club won the league championship in 1988. In 1991, Wenger guided Monaco to victory in the Coupe de France, but their failure to regain the league title in later seasons led to his departure from the club by mutual consent in 1994. He briefly coached Japanese J. League side Nagoya Grampus Eight, which won the Emperor's Cup and Japanese Super Cup during his stint.
In 1996, Wenger was named manager of Arsenal and two years later the club completed a league and FA Cup double. He led Arsenal to appearances in the 2000 UEFA Cup Final and 2001 FA Cup Final, and a second league and cup double in 2002. Arsenal retained the FA Cup in 2003 and a year later regained the league title, becoming the first club to go through an entire league season undefeated sincePreston North End, 115 years previously. The team later eclipsed Nottingham Forest's record of 42 league matches unbeaten and went seven more matches before losing in October 2004. Arsenal made their first appearance in a Champions League final in 2006, though they lost to Barcelona. In 2012, the club qualified for a 15th successive season in the Champions League, despite their worst start to a season for 58 years. During his tenure, Arsenal moved to a new training centre and relocated to the Emirates Stadium in August 2006, after 93 years at Highbury.
The nickname "Le Professeur" is used by fans and the British media to reflect Wenger's studious demeanour. His approach to the game emphasises an attacking mentality, with the aim that football ought to be entertaining on the pitch. Wenger's Arsenal teams are often criticised for their indiscipline; his players received 80 red cards between September 1996 and October 2010, though the team has won awards for sporting fair play. At Monaco, Wenger earned a reputation for spotting young talent, and he has remained focused on developing a youth system; his clubs develop young players instead of buying expensive, experienced ones. He has faced criticism for sticking closely to his principles, and football pundits have questioned his ambition to win trophies.
