José René Higuita (born 27 August 1966 in Medell?n (Barrio Castilla) is a Colombian former football goalkeeper nicknamed El Loco ("The Madman"). Rene Higuita was well known for his 'sweeper' playing style taking risk in leaving his post empty to clear balls and even dribble. Unique and 'crazy' by his nickname, he stood out in football history as one of the most unique and remarkable goal keepers of all time. In a friendly against England in 1995, he created the famous Scorpion kick, where he faces the pitch, falls forward to waist level and parallel to the ground, knees bent, feet curl back and kick the ball away from the goal. He was often considered to be the 'master of the unpredictable' Higuita was also known for his impressive goal scoring records despite being a goal keeper.
Rene Higuita played the majority of his club career with Colombian side Atlético Nacional where he helped the team win the Colombian League on numerous occasions as well as the Copa Libertadores and Copa Interamericana, both in 1989.
He came out of retirement in 2007 to sign for Venezuelan club Guaros de Lara FC. In January 2008, aged 41, he signed for Colombian second division team Deportivo Rionegro. In June 2008 he signed for Colombian first division team Deportivo Pereira and retired in January 2010.
He is married to Magnolia, with whom he has two children, Andrés and Pamela. He also has a daughter, Cindy Carolina, from a previous marriage.
Higuita was imprisoned in 1993 after getting involved in a kidnapping. Acting as a go-between for the drug barons Pablo Escobar and Carlos Molina, he was largely responsible for securing the release of Molina's daughter by delivering the ransom money. He received $64,000 for his services, which breaks Colombian law as it is an offence to profit from a kidnapping. He was incarcerated for seven months before being released without charge. Commenting on the case, he has stated that "I'm a footballer, I didn't know anything about kidnapping laws." In the documentary The Two Escobars however, it was claimed he was imprisoned due to a personal visit toPablo Escobar, in prison due to the fact that they questioned Higuita only about Pablo Escobar rather than the kidnapping itself.
Because of the term in prison Higuita was not fit for the 1994 FIFA World Cup. In another scandal, he tested positive for cocaine on 23 November 2004 while playing for "Aucas" an Ecuadorian football club.
In 2005, Higuita participated in the reality TV program La isla de los famosos: Una aventura pirata ("The Island of the Famous: A Pirate Adventure"), a show similar to Survivor. Also in 2005, he underwent plastic surgery to completely change his appearance.
As of November 2009, his son Cristian Andrés Higuita was playing for Asociaci?n Deportivo Cali and represented Colombia at the Sudamericano Sub-15. He was also set to represent Colombia at the U-20 South American Championship for 2013 but suffered a injury.
Higuita has expressed the wish to become more politically active

Carlos Alberto Valderrama Palacio (Spanish pronunciation: born September 2, 1961 in Santa Marta, Colombia), also known as El Pibe ("The Kid") is a former Colombian football player. His mesmerizing mass of blond afro hair, coupled with his equally flamboyant and mesmeric technique on the ball, made him one of Colombia's most recognizable footballers, and arguably, one of the most recognizable footballers around the globe historically.
Valderrama was well known during his time in the MLS. Perhaps one of the most noticeable foreign players to ever grace the MLS, he played a huge role in the uprising of the league itself during the 1990s. Most noticeably by becoming a pioneer that inspired a wave of Colombian (as well as general foreign) footballers to ply their talents in the league causing a huge influence of increasing both the popularity and strength of the league itself. To this day, he is a icon as one of the most decorated playmakers to ever play in the MLS.
Valderrama was a member of the Colombia national football team in the 1990s. Between 1985 and 1998 he represented Colombia in 111 full internationals and scored 11 times, making him the most capped player in the country's history. Valderrama was known for the accuracy of his passing, his tactical brain which allowed him to have a strong presence without the necessity of running as much as it would be expected, his exquisite technique on the ball, and his ability to provide assists that were very immaculate.Valderrama played a huge role during the golden era of Colombian football during the 1990s. In 2004, Valderrama was included in the FIFA 100, a list of "greatest living footballers" chosen by Pelé to celebrate the 100th anniversary of FIFA.

Andrés Escobar Saldarriaga (13 March 1967 – 2 July 1994), nicknamed "The Gentleman of Football", was a Colombian footballer who was shot and killed inMedell?n. It is widely believed that he was murdered due to his own goal in the 1994 FIFA World Cup against United States, which supposedly would have caused gambling losses to several powerful drug lords.
Andrés Escobar is still held in the highest regard by Colombian fans, and is especially mourned and remembered by Atlético Nacional's fans. His brother, Santiago, has managed many Colombian teams. Andrés is known for his famous line "Life doesn't end here
Escobar was born in Medellin, Colombia on 13 March 1967. He grew up in a middle-class family. His father is Dario Escobar, a banker who founded an organisation that gives young people the opportunity to play football instead of being on the streets. After Escobar's death, his family founded the Andrés Escobar Project to help disadvantaged kids learn to play football. His brother, Santiago, won the Copa Mustang with Atlético Nacional.
He attended Colegio Calasanz and graduated from Instituto Conrado Gonzalez. He participated in school football teams before becoming a professional football player.Prior to his death, Escobar was engaged to his girlfriend of five years, Pamela Cascardo, a dentist. Escobar was killed one month before their wedding was to take place.
After the 1994 FIFA World Cup, Escobar decided to return to Colombia instead of visiting relatives in Las Vegas, Nevada. On the evening of 2 July 1994, Escobar called his friends, and they went to a bar in the El Poblado, Medell?n neighbourhood. Then they went to a liquor store. Shortly afterwards, they arrived at the "El Indio" nightclub. His friends split up. At approximately 3 a.m., Escobar was alone in the parking lot of "El Indio" bar, located in a Medell?n suburb. Escobar was in his car, when three men appeared. They began arguing with him. Two of the men took out handguns Escobar was shot 6 times. It was reported that the killer shouted ?Gol!" (imitating South American football commentators) The killer shot Escobar with a .38 caliber pistol. The group then took off in aToyota pickup truck. Escobar was escorted to the hospital and was pronounced dead 45 minutes later.
The murder was widely believed to be a "punishment" for the goal that spiraled off his leg and went into his own goal. It is not clear whether the murderer was connected to one of the gambling syndicates who had bet large amounts of money on Colombia to qualify for the second round. In the UK, the BBC issued a public apology the following day after its football pundit Alan Hansen commented during another match that "the Argentine defender warrants shooting for a mistake like that"
Escobar's funeral was attended by over 120,000 people. Every year people honor Escobar by bringing photographs of him to matches. In July 2002, the city of Medell?n unveiled a statue in honor of his memory.
Humberto Castro Mu?oz, a bodyguard for members of a powerful Colombian cartel, was arrested on the night of 2 July 1994, confessing on 3 July 1994 to the killing of Escobar. Mu?oz also worked as a driver for Peter David and Juan Santiago Gallon Henao, who allegedly bet heavily on the Colombian team and was upset at having lost. He was found guilty of Escobar's murder in June 1995. He was sentenced to 43 years in prison. The sentence was later reduced to 26 years because of his submitting to the ruling penal code in 2001. Humberto was released on good behavior due to further reductions from prison work and study in 2005 after serving approximately 11 years. His three accomplices were not charged

DRAWING PORTRAIT STARS PERU KHALED3KEN KHALED ABD EL KARIM KEN MAADI PAOLO GUERRERO

José Paolo Guerrero Gonzales (born 1 January 1984) is a Peruvian footballer, who plays for Sport Club Corinthians Paulista and the Peruvian national team. Guerrero is known to be a skillful supporting forward who displays good hold up play and passing abilities.
Guerrero was born in Lima. He started playing football in the lower categories of Peruvian club Alianza Lima. In 2003, Guerrero signed a contract with Bavarian giantsBayern Munich. During 2003–04, Guerrero played in the Regionalliga Süd. He played 23 games and scored 21 goals. During the 2004–05 season, he joined fellow countryman, Claudio Pizarro, on the Bayern first team. In June 2006, it was announced that Guerrero had transferred to Hamburger SV, and signed a contract with the club through 2010. He scored the winner against his former club Bayern Munich, which he did not celebrate because of his past with the club and the endearment he still felt for it. The result meant that Bayern had no chance of playing in the Champions Leaguein the 2007–08 season.
Paolo Guerrero's career with the Peruvian national team began in the doomed Germany 2006 campaign, but he managed to score twice for the national side. His first goal became the winner against Chile in Lima's Estadio Nacional. It was followed by a first minute goal in the next match against Ecuador in the same venue, though the Ecuadorians fought back to secure a 2–2 away draw. However, Guerrero was ruled out of Peru's first two 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifying games because of injury. A further blow to Peru was laid down by FIFA when Guerrero was suspended 6 games for insulting the referee during the Uruguay vs. Peru game in June 2008. The suspension started with the Peru vs. Venezuela game in September.
Following Peru's disastrous qualifying campaign for the 2010 World Cup, José del Solar was replaced by Uruguayan manager Sergio Markarian and Guerrero was called up for the 2011 Copa America. In line of an injured Pizarro, Guerrero played as the team's starting striker in the Competition and scored five times, one each against Uruguay and Mexico followed by a hat trick against Venezuela in the Third Place play Off match which Peru won 4–1. He became the tournament's top goalscorer.
Guerrero suffers from aviatophobia. Media reports claim his fear of flying is due to the tragic death of his uncle José Gonz?lez Ganozawho died in the 1987 Alianza Lima air disaster. His uncle was also a footballer and had represented Alianza Lima and the Peru national team.
Guerrero also has an older brother, Julio Rivera Gonzalez, who was also a footballer for the Peru national team. Rivera was also formed in the Alianza Lima youth system

DRAWING PORTRAIT STARS PERU KHALED3KEN KHALED ABD EL KARIM KEN MAADI CLAUDIO PIZARRO

DRAWING PORTRAIT STARS PERU KHALED3KEN KHALED ABD EL KARIM KEN MAADI CLAUDIO PIZARRO

Claudio Miguel Pizarro Bosio (born 3 October 1978 in Callao, Peru) is a Peruvian football forward who plays for Bayern Munich. He is known for his scoring ability and headers.
On 23 October 2010, Pizarro surpassed the 133 goals record previously reached by Giovane Elber, making him the top foreign scorer in German football history, when he scored with his team, Werder Bremen against Borussia M?nchengladbach. As of June 2012, Pizarro is the 11th most successful striker in the history of the Bundesliga with 160 goals.
Pizarro was born and raised in the Santiago de Surco district of capital cityLima. He was born to Patricia Bosio and Claudio Pizarro D?vila, a naval officer. He has a sister, Patricia, and brother, Diego. Younger brother, Diego, was a youth player for Bayern Munich, and he is currently playing for Cienciano.
Pizarro is married to his teenage sweetheart, Karla Salcedo, and they have two sons, Claudio and Gianluca, and one daughter, Antonella. Pizarro co-owns arace horse called 'Crying Lightning' with Queens Park Rangers player Joey Barton. In January 2011 the horse competed at the Nad Al Sheba Racecourse in Dubai.
Pizarro has been a regular for Peru since 1999, and was the captain succeeding Nolberto Solano. His career in the national team has not mirrored his club career, as he has scored only 13 goals, only 6 of which have been in competitive matches. Pizarro has been a starting player in the qualifying tournaments for the 2002 Japan-Korea World Cup, the 2006 Germany World Cup, and the first three games of the 2010 South Africa World Cup. Fans of the Peruvian national team have complained of his lackluster performance in the qualifiers: only three goals scored throughout three tournaments.
In the Copa América 2004 when playing for the Peruvian National team he suffered a fractured skull, when he took an elbow to the head in an on-field collision during a 3–1 win over Venezuela which forced him out of the Copa America and required extensive surgery in Germany. He was not able to play for over three months after the incident.
Under the management of Julio César Uribe, Pizarro played for Peru in the 2007 Copa América, scoring two goals against Bolivia.
On 7 December 2007, an investigation on having introduced women and alcohol into the national squad's hotel two days before Peru's away drubbing at the hands of Ecuador (5–1) started running, and Pizarro has thus been suspended 18 months from the national team starting on the day before the match. Other Peruvian players based overseas like Jefferson Farf?n and others were also suspended. Since Pizarro claimed to be innocent, he started a trial against the Peruvian Football Federation. This action alerted FIFA about the case who warned the player about not taking it to the regular judges or he could face an international ban.
On 3 July 2008, after an investigation and a review of the facts, the suspension was changed to only three months (from the date of appeal in April 2008) and $10,000 fine. Pizarro served the three-month ban.
On 17 April 2009, Pizarro won a court victory over his national federation. The Court of Arbitration for Sport overturned a $10,000 fine imposed on Pizarro by the Peruvian football association after the alleged November 2007 incident. "The facts put forward by (the federation) in relation to Pizarro were not supported by concrete evidence", sport's highest court said in a statement.
Pizarro expressed his satisfaction with the final result. He explained: "I am very satisfied and feel vindicated, Pizarro said. "My honor has been restored. My family and friends have always stood by me and knew that these were all just lies that were being spread about me. But this verdict will now also give certainty to everyone who had doubts that I have always told the truth.
Despite these results neither him nor any of the other suspended players were ever called for the duration of the World Cup South Africa qualification games by coach Del Solar. Pizarro's attitude as team captain had already been called into question by the fans, who felt he that he would focus more on his hobbies (such as horse racing) than training when he would go to Peru.

Henri Camara (born 10 May 1977) is a Senegalese footballer who plays as astriker and is currently plays for Panetolikos F.C.
Camara was born in Dakar to a Guinean father and a Senegalese mother. He began his career in France with RC Strasbourg (1998–1999), before playing for Swiss clubs Neuchâtel Xamax (1999–2000), and Grasshopper-Club Zürich, where he won the Swiss Championship in 2001. He then returned to France with Sedan but sought a new move when they were relegated in 2003.
Camara joined newly promoted English Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers in August 2003 in a four-year deal for £1.5million. He was a regular first-choice player, capable of creating goalscoring opportunities, but often guilty of erratic finishing that left him with just one goal from 23 games, this goal being the crucial winner as Wolves came back from 3 down at half time to beat relegation rivals Leicester City 4–3. Towards the end of the season, he found his scoring touch and struck 6 times in the final 9 games. While this could not prevent relegation, he was named the fans' Player of the Year.
However, Camara was unwilling to play at a lower level and did not turn up for pre-season training. His future was further unsettled by a bid from Phil Gartside, Bolton Wanderers' chairman, which Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey rejected. He eventually returned to the club but only to negotiate a loan move away.
Camara made his international debut for Senegal in a 1–1 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Nigeria on 28 February 1999. He went on to play in their surprising run at the 2002 World Cup, scoring two goals – one a golden goal – in the Round of 16 against Sweden, which took them to the quarter-finals for the only time in their history. He was also part of the 2004, 2006 and 2008 Africa Cup of Nations squads.
Camara also featured in Ronaldinho's squad for a charity football match. The match was between Europe and the rest of the world. Camara came on as a substitute and scored 2 goals in the second half of the game to help his team take the victory.
Internationally, Camara could have played for Guinea as his father was born in Guinea. On choosing Senegal, he explained, "I was born in Senegal but my father is from Guinea, so, yes, I could have played with Momo Sylla in the Guinea national team. When I was young, I received an invitation from the Senegal youth team and my dad didn't want me to play. His dream was for me to play for Guinea. But I didn't know Guinea very well. Senegal was my country, so it was an easy decision for me to make.

After becoming available for the Senegal national side, in October 2012 Diouf was left out of the squad to face Côte d'Ivoire in an African Cup Of Nations qualifier, Diouf proclaimed that he felt he was left out of the squad because the Senegal federation were 'scared' of him.

Frédéric Oumar Kanouté (born 2 September 1977) is a French-born Malianfootballer who currently plays for Chinese Super League side Beijing Guoan. Kanouté was named the 2007 African Footballer of the Year, the first player born outside Africa to win the award.
Kanouté began his career with Lyon in France before moving to West Ham of thePremier League in 2000. After a spell at their London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, Kanouté moved to Spanish club Sevilla where he won two consecutive UEFA Cupsin 2006 and 2007 in addition to various other European and domestic honours and remains the club's highest-scoring foreign player. He joined Beijing Goan on 29 June 2012.
Despite appearing 16 times for France U-21, Kanouté was a member of the Malian squad which reached the semi-finals of the 2004 African Cup of Nations and also featured in their selections for the tournament in 2006 and 2010. His international career ended in 2010 with a total of 39 caps and 23 goals.
Kanouté and his wife live in Seville, Spain with their three children.
Kanouté has been practicing Islam since he was around the age of 22. He refused to wear a Sevilla shirt bearing the name of club sponsor 888.com, due to the fact the website is used for gambling, which is against the principles of Islam; this meant that the club had to give him a brand-free jersey every match. The company, however, agreed to excuse him from their publicity campaigns in return for Kanouté wearing the sponsored kit, which was part of the players' contractual duties. In 2007, Kanouté paid more than $700,000 out of his pocket to buy a mosque in Seville. The contract on the premises had expired and the mosque was due to be sold. The Islamic community of Spain confirmed it had requested Kanouté's aid after the mosque was put up for sale.
Kanouté is a practising Muslim. He insists his faith has never presented itself as a problem in his relationship with the coaching staff, team-mates or fans. He has stated that “Islam has helped me to be this way, so this is normal. It's a path you take to keep you calm, to help you think about the place you live in, to love your neighbour. It's strange when I hear about all these problems of terrorism because it's the opposite of what I understood for Islam.”
He observes fasting during the Islamic month of Ramadan. He has stated that “I can keep fasting in Ramadan even when I am playing...it is sometimes harder to keep the fast because here in the south of Spain it is very hot, but I can do it, thank God.”
After scoring a goal in a 7 January 2009 Copa Del Rey match against Deportivo La Coru?a, Kanouté lifted his jersey and displayed a black shirt underneath emblazoned with the word "Palestine". The action was interpreted by BBC sources as a protest against the massive Israeli army operation in the Gaza Strip ongoing at that time. Kanouté was cautioned with a yellow card for displaying a political message, and subsequently fined around $4,000 by the league.
Kanouté has also showed interest in a variety of humanitarian causes. In 2006, he launched an appeal to establish a "Children's Village" in Mali

Mehdi Mahdavikia (Persian: مهدي مهدوي‌کيا‎, born 24 July 1977 in Tehran) is anIranian football player who currently plays for Persepolis in Iran Pro League. He has won Asian Young Footballer of the Year award in 1997, as well as Asian Footballer of the Year in 2003. He was the captain of the Iran national football team from 2006 to 2009, and currently is the third most capped Iranian International after Ali Daei and Ali Karimi. As a product of Bank Melli, he joinedPersepolis and after his performance in FIFA World Cup 1998, he was transferred to Hamburger SV in Fu?ball-Bundesliga, where he played for eight seasons. He usually plays as a right winger or full-back. He is known for his crossing, speed and dribbling.
Mahdavikia first played for Persepolis club in his native Iran before moving to VfL Bochum in Germany. After Bochum's relegation, he signed for Bundesliga sideHamburg where he stayed for the next eight seasons.
His initial position for HSV was right fullback, from which he was known for his attacking runs, as he has previous experience as a right winger and at times has played as a striker. He also played some matches for Pas in Asian games as help for the club. Mahdavikia under coach Frank Pagelsdorf used to play wide striker. For the 2006–07 Bundesliga season he has moved back to his natural position of right wing, in support of Center Midfielder Rafael van der Vaart. He was awarded Hamburg Player of the Year in 2003 and 2004 by the fans, and also attained the envious title of the top assister of goals in the Bundesliga. However, compared to his previous season, he had a poor season in 2004–05 and was benched. In the 2005–06 season he has gained his old form back and was able to regain his spot as a starter, being influential in many of Hamburg's victories, such as scoring the winning goal against Bundesliga heavyweights Schalke.
Mehdi Mahdavikia's strongest points are his vision, passing skills, fast paced runs (his nickname in Iran is "The Rocket" ), and set-pieces such as corners, spotkicks and free kicks. He is usually the right-footed alternative to Van der Vaart's well known left foot. Apart from being a total professional on the pitch, he is also known as a perfect gentleman off the pitch, always finding the time for fans and reporters to answer questions or sign autographs.
His nickname in Hamburg is The Carpet (der Teppich) for his ability to "magically glide past" his opponents like the enchanted carpet.
On 8 June 2007 he signed a 3-year contract with Eintracht Frankfurt.
In his first season he had two bad injuries that forced him to miss many matches. In the second season he was mostly benched and not used in many matches which showed that the club did not want him anymore. After 255 Games (26 goals, 55 assists) in the Fu?ball-Bundesliga for HSV, Bochum and Eintracht Frankfurt, left Germany to sign for Steel Azin in January 2010.
On 4 July 2011, Mahdavikia signed a contract with Amir Abedini, President of the Damash Gilan to join to the club for one year but he was joined to his beloved club, Persepolis in mid-seasion to play for club in his last year of playing football. He extended his contract with Persepolis for another season on 19 June 2012

Portrait Drawing Soccer Football Khaled3Ken Gallery IRAN  ALI KARIMI

Mohammad-Ali Karimi Pashaki (Persian:
 محمد علي کريمي پاشاکي
born on 8 November 1978) better known as Ali Karimi, is an Iranian professionalFootballer who currently plays for Persepolis in Iran Pro League. He was awarded the Asian Footballer of the Year in 2004. He is capable of playing on the wings, as an attacking midfielder or as a deep-lying forward. He is known for ball skill and dribbling runs.
Karimi began his career with Fath Tehran youth club and joined Persepolis in 1998. Internationally, Karimi has been capped 127 times since making his debut in October 1998, and has scored 38 goals. He has participated in five major tournaments including 1998 Asian Games, 2000, 2004, and 2007 Asian Cups and 2006 FIFA World Cup.
Karimi started his professional career with second division side Fath Football Club in 1997 where training was conducted on the streets with a plastic ball.
In 1998, Karimi joined Persepolis football club, which won the domestic double in 1999 and the championship again in 2000. He attended a trial with Perugia Calcio, but the transfer was aborted when Perugia deemed the transfer fee too high. There was also reportedly an offer from Spain's Atlético Madrid who were willing to pay Karimi $5 million dollars in a six-year contract,[citation needed]but Karimi remained at Al Ahli because he wanted to stay close to home
Karimi signed with Al Ahli in the United Arab Emirates in 2001. In that season Al-Ahli managed to win its first trophy, when they became the Winners of the President Cup in 2001–02 season.
He scored a league-high 14 goals for Al Ahli in 2004
Karimi made his debut for Iran national football team in October 1998 in a match against Kuwait. That same year, he won the Gold Medal with Iran at the 1998 Asian Games. Karimi scored one of Iran's two goals in the final against Kuwait.
He was also one of Iran's main players in its 2002 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign. In 2001, after losing to Bahrain and drawing with Thailand, Iran finished second in their qualifying group and had to play a home-and-away play-off with the Republic of Ireland for a spot at the 2002 World Cup. Karimi started as an attacking midfielder in the first game in Dublin, and used his acceleration on the break and his dribbling to attack Ireland's defence. However, he was also off target on a number of occasions, and Iran lost the match 2–0. They won the return leg 1–0 but missed out on the final.
At the 2004 Asian Cup, Karimi scored five goals that made him joint top scorer. Iran finished third in the overall tournament, behindJapan and China. In the quarter final, Karimi scored a hat trick in Iran's 4–3 win over South Korea. His first two goals were headers and the third a finish on a low cross from Mehdi Mahdavikia. Karimi was given the prestigious Asian Player of the Year award in 2004, joining his fellow Iranians, Mahdavikia in 2003, Ali Daei in 1999, and Khodadad Azizi in 1996. He also won the 2004 West Asian Football Federation Championship with Team Melli.
His performance in the Iran-Germany friendly game for Bam victims held in Azadi Stadium in Tehran in October 2004 was said to be the reason behind Bayern's interest in the player.
Coming off a serious ankle injury, Karimi had a poor World Cup finals at Germany 2006. He was unable to exert much influence on proceedings as the Iranians lost 1–3 to Mexico and 0–2 to Portugal. He was substituted in the 65th minute of the Portugal game and kicked the team's sports bags by the dugout. Iran's then manager Branko Ivankovic said he may drop Karimi in the upcoming game due to disciplinary reasons. Karimi did not play in the 1–1 draw against Angola, but Ivankovic attributed Karimi's omission to his refusal to play because of an injury.
Karimi played in the 2007 Asian Cup.
In May 2008, Karimi was banned from playing in the national team after he made criticisms towards the IRIFF in the Ardebil training ground, but has been reinstated in the national squad after intervention from Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of revolutionary leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.
In October 2008, Karimi retired from Team Melli. Ali Daei, the then Iran football coach, said Karimi will never be called up again. In February 2009, Karimi announced that he was ready again to serve his country, if he was to be picked by Team Melli coach, Afshin Ghotbi.
He played in 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification for Team Melli and on 10 June 2009 Karimi scored in a 1–0 victory over U.A.E. to keep Iran's 2010 World Cup qualifying hopes alive. On 17 June 2009, he played in Iran's 1–1 draw with South Korea, a result that eliminated Iran from the 2010 World Cup finals. During the match, a number of Iranian players, including Karimi, wore green wristbands, which were interpreted to be a show of support for Iranian opposition leader Hossein Mousavi, who accused the Iranian government of vote rigging in the 12 June election. Western media reported after the game that the players who wore the green wrsitbands have been banned from the team for life, while a newspaper in Iran reported that the players concerned have retired.
On 24 June 2009, FIFA wrote to Iran's football federation asking for clarification on the situation. The Iranian football federation replied that no disciplinary action has been taken against any player. On 3 March 2010, he returned for the 2011 AFC Asian Cup qualification match against Thailand. Karimi was not picked to be part of Iran's 2011 AFC Asian Cup squad as Ghotbi decided to use younger players in his position.
He was invited to the national football team again by Carlos Queiroz in 2011 to play in the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualification.
He is currently the third most capped player and the third highest scorer of Iran.

Portrait Drawing Soccer Football Khaled3Ken Gallery STARS BELGIUM PODOLPHE WILLIAM SEALDRAYERS FIFA PRESIDENT

Portrait Drawing Soccer Football Khaled3Ken Gallery STARS BELGIUM PODOLPHE WILLIAM SEALDRAYERS FIFA PRESIDENT

Rodolphe William Seeldrayers (December 16, 1876 - October 7, 1955) was the 4th President of FIFA, serving from 1954 to 1955. He was actively involved in the official associations of Belgian sports.
Eight fields of Belgian sports have benefited from Seeldrayers' attentions: athletics, soccer, aviation, cricket, field hockey, golf and, in a small measure, tennis and swimming — eight different sports in which he was involved — athletics and soccer being without any doubt his predilection. To begin with, he was the Belgian champion of the 110-meter hurdles in 1897, and he competed for ten years; secondly, he was the Belgian Division of honor champion with the Racing-Club of Brussels' team in 1900, and captain of the universityteam of Brussels in 1898 and 1899. All in all, he competed for 26 years.
As for other fields, their practice lasted an average of ten years and always at an elevated level of accomplishment, winning at least a championship: he had five years in the Regatta Club (Cercle des régates) of Brussels and the "Sunburn" team (Coup de Soleil), ten years of cricket in le Racing and the "Ango-Belgian Club" of Brussels, and was its three time champion of Belgium. He was captain, in 1924, of the national team which defeated France in Paris, ten years of hockey in the Racing-Club of Brussels, and in 1903, in the national team against France, in Paris; golf from 1919 onwards in the Waterloo Golf Club where he was captain for ten years.
Seeldrayers was a very accomplished sportsman, and as can be seen from the many sports in which he competed, he had preference for team sports, which agreed with his conception of sports, since, according to Seeldrayers, sports must be the playing-field of an apprenticeship in the necessary values of life and community.
Born in 1876 in Düsseldorf, Germany, R.W. Seeldrayers studied law at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (Free University of Brussels), where he began his sporting activities. At 19, he was one of the founders of the Union royale belge des Sociétés de football association (URBSFA), or Royal Belgian Union of the Football Association Societies, of which he was the treasurer for four years and the Executive Counsel for 25 years. He was later elected member of honor. In 1914, the Union used his talents as an orator and named him delegate to FIFA, of which he was made Vice-President in 1927.
In 1899, Seeldrayers began a career as a sports journalist with the magazine "La vie sportive", (Sporting life), writing a column under the pen name Spectator. Ten years later, he founded the National Committee for Physical Education which merged with the Belgian Olympic Committee. He became head of the committee beginning in 1946, succeeding Prince Albert de Ligne.
In 1920, he was Technical Secretary of the Olympic Games at Anvers, and would be a member of the appeals jury for soccer at the Olympic games several times, most notably at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, where an incident during the Peru v Austria game provoked an appeals jury consultation. During the match spectators invaded the pitch. The Austrian Football Association sent a complaint to the appeals committee which decided, after deliberation, to re-play the match "behind closed doors." Peru disagreed and their entire Olympic squad left the Games complaining of the 'crafty Berlin decision'. He also received the official Czechoslovak complaint following the abandoned 1920 Olympic Final which had been refereed by John Lewis.
Inveterate founder of clubs and associations, the following organizations are to Seeldrayers' credit: the Waterloo Golf-Club (1923), theIxelles Football Club (which would be part of the merger with the Racing Club of Brussels) and the Anglo-Belgian Cricket Sporting Club. Selldrayers seemed to be well received in English circles: up-to-date and to the point in matters of sport, he furthermore had perfectly mastered the English language. At the same time, Seeldrayers continued his journalistic activities and began a new collaboration with the publication "Sports Echo" (L'Echo des Sports), but it would end this aspect of his activities in 1935, while still continuing to publish articles and to make his opinions known in the columns of the Bulletins of the International Olympic Committee.
The Second World War slowed down his activities somewhat without stopping them: as a member of the Belgian Olympic Committeeduring the Occupation, he stood up for the independence of Belgian sport. At the end of the War, he was one of the members of theInternational Olympic Committee for the first post-war Games, in 1946.
At the beginning of 1955, the universally respected Frenchman Jules Rimet resigned from FIFA and passed his authority to his Vice-President, R. W. Seeldrayers. This handing down of power, as well as the matches of the World Cup of 1954 were shown on television for the first time. A great mutual respect existed between the two men, which translated, on the part of the Belgian, into a motion introduced on July 25, 1946 at a FIFA congress, to change the name of the World Cup to the "Jules Rimet Cup." Under his Presidency, the Federation counted 85 members and celebrated its fiftieth anniversary.
For many years, the question of amateurism posed a problem. With the development of the sport, the phenomenon of professionalism began to bring into question the fundamentals of the conception of the Olympic Games as P. de Coubertin wanted them to be. Debates raged, and a Commission on Amateurism was created, supported by the International Olympic Committee. Seeldrayers took part in it. In the end, the commission submitted its final report in 1947, at the session in Stockholm. It included, among other things, a definition of amateurism, and required future participants in the Olympic Games to sign a declaration affirming that they were truly amateurs, and proposing the creation of a permanent commission, composed of three members of the International Olympic Committee and a delegate of each international federation. But the problem was not much forgotten.
Under his Presidency of FIFA, Seeldrayers faced another problem: FIFA was in fact reproached for having given permission for "false" amateurs to participate in a Helsinki tournament, even though a definition of amateurism had been introduced in the FIFA bylaws by Seeldrayers himself, Vice President of the federation at the time. The problem is complex, with the decision of which games will participate in majors sports events at stake. It was also a time when regimes used sports as a means of propaganda.
Aware of the importance of this problem, Seeldrayers remained faithful to his view of sport. For him, "from a point of view strictly Olympic, sport is only possible, theoretically, when practiced by amateurs." His opinion didn't prevent him from respecting professional players who followed the spirit of the game with loyalty, sincerity, and fair-play. And even though he clearly saw the use of sports in communist propaganda, he understood and approved that phenomenon to a certain extent. In his opinion, sports were a key element of social organization. They must be integrated to the school curriculum on the same level that any other subject and are capital to youths' education.
Seeldrayers considered the spectators as flawed, and over time, his opinion didn't improve. He believed that it was the duty of the press to teach the spectator.
R.W. Seeldrayers died a year after his election as president of FIFA, on October 7, 1955 due to illness. He received semi-official funerals following a governmental decision. He was posthumously elected as member of the IOC (International Olympic Committee). It was then decided that this title would not be given posthumously again.
